Important information
Setting up a Swedish AB (Aktiebolag) requires careful attention to key legal and administrative obligations to ensure full compliance and a smooth start. Share capital (25,000 SEK) must be deposited in the company’s bank account within 120 days of transfer. If non-EU citizens are involved, a residency exemption application is required (additional 2,500 SEK).
Swedish AB requirements:
Minimum 2 board members (or 1 board member + 1 deputy)
Person authorized to receive service of process (Contact person) required if no Swedish-resident board member
